SMACK’s Kylie Morgan has officially signed a record deal with Universal Music Group Nashville. Her first release on the label will be on July 26th, with her autobiographical new song, “Boys Girl,” co-written by SMACKSongs Owner Shane McAnally and songwriter/producer Ross Copperman.

‘Songland’ premiered on NBC on Monday, May 28th, becoming the highest rated alternative summer series since June of 2017. SMACK’s Shane McAnally, a panelist on the show, was given the opportunity to work with budding songwriter Tebby Burrows. SMACK Earns Four MusicRow Awards Nominations
SMACK is excited to have earned four MusicRow Awards nominations this year. Shane McAnally received a nomination for Male Songwriter of the Year as well as Song of the Year for “Rainbow,” recorded by Kacey Musgraves. Josh Osborne was also nominated for Male Songwriter of the Year, and Aaron Eshuis for the coveted Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year award. The 31st Annual MusicRow Awards will be held on Wednesday, June 26th at Nashville’s War Memorial Auditorium.
